Meet Our Staff!

Tar Henderson has been called as the pastor at First Baptist Church Collinsville. He and Elaine, his wife, recently returned to their hometown of Collinsville after serving in ministry in New Mexico for the last twenty years.

Tar and Elaine have two grown children and three grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor adventures, 4-wheeling, camping, hiking, skiing, sports, and more. Most of all, he loves Jesus Christ and wants to help people grow in their relationship with the Lord.

Ron Ethridge serves as the Music Minister at First Baptist Church Collinsville. With a lifelong passion for worship and music, Ron brings both experience and heart to leading the congregation in praising the Lord through song.

Ron and his wife, Melany, have been blessed with a wonderful family and enjoy spending time together in fellowship and service. When he’s not leading worship, Ron enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

Above all, Ron’s greatest joy is glorifying God through music and encouraging others to deepen their walk with Christ through worship.

Cathy brings an exceptional depth of knowledge, unwavering dedication, and a heart for service to her role as Office Administrator at First Baptist Church of Collinsville, a position she has faithfully held since August 2000. A consummate professional known for her reliability and meticulous attention to detail, Cathy’s impact within the church extends far beyond administrative expertise, as she plays a vital role in supporting the congregation and fostering a spirit of hospitality and excellence.

Outside of her professional life, Cathy treasures time spent with her family. She and her husband, Keith, have been married for over 40 years and enjoy traveling the country in their RV, discovering new destinations together. They are proud parents of two daughters—Alicia, who lives in Amarillo, Texas with her husband Brad Steed, and Julia, who resides in New York City. The couple is blessed with four granddaughters—Ryleigh, 15; Kinlee, 13; Blakley, 11; and Charli, 5—who bring endless joy and energy into their lives.

Cathy’s commitment to the church goes beyond her administrative responsibilities; her genuine passion for serving others is evident in every aspect of her work. Whether coordinating the church’s day-to-day needs or assisting with larger projects, she is dedicated to ensuring that the church office remains a warm, welcoming, and efficient space for all who come through its doors.
